I felt your nudge this morning

As I was dressing

Prompting me along

“There are things I need you to hear.”

I felt your touch

When I closed my eyes

Listened to the music

The beautiful music

That pounded the room.

I felt your hand on my shoulder

As I had to look into the eyes

Of the woman that abused me

So many years ago.

I heard you whisper my name

As I walked away

Before something was said

That didn’t need to be.

I felt you when I opened the bible

And you directed me to words

You knew I needed to read just then.

No matter where I am

Or what I am doing,

I always feel you.
